Personal Branding: Giorgia Matrone

Giorgia is a travel curator based in Milan, specialising in aesthetic adventures around the world.

Giorgia needed some photos for her new website and social media, she used to work in fashion and this was her first time in front of the camera.

Having her photos taken was a big step for her and her new project. I was so grateful when she asked me to be with her on this new adventure.

We wanted to create evocative images, natural but elegant and sophisticated.

I flew to Milan and we spent together two wonderful days, walking around Giorgia’s favourite spots in Milan, eating laughing and taking pictures.

“I was so nervous before starting: having somebody taking pictures of me and doing a personal branding photoshoot for my newborn brand was a lot of feelings altogether.

But Marina was like having a good friend over for the weekend, the ones you don't see often but you just click as soon as you are together again.”

“She is delightful to have around, it doesn't make you feel the pressure of the work to be done, but is just like having a walk and taking some pictures for fun.

She made me laugh when I was too shy and naturally took pictures effortlessly that are already my favourites.

Her plus: the lights and colours she uses, she has this ability to play with lights and to deliver ethereal pictures that I personally find unique.”
